Tyler Perry has another hit with his recent stage play The Marriage Counselor  and it is coming back to Philly this week.  The Marriage Counselor shows how marriages are tested and love is conquered.  Tyler says, “….we love, we trust and we get mad and we compromise.”

In this play there is a husband who is an accountant and a wife who is the Marriage Counselor whose old college friend stops by her office to see her.  In the end she is the one needing counseling and you will never guess who was giving the counseling.

Tyler Perry the producer, actor, writer, music composer, director and film maker has had 10 successful productions.  You don’t want to miss this one when it comes back February 26th  – March 2nd at the Merriam Theater.  In March look for his next movie “Meet the Browns”.

Tyler Perry said, “When we won the Image Award for HOUSE OF PAYNE, I said something that I didn't know I had said until I watched the show played back that night.  I said that if 1000 people tell you no and you get one yes from God then that's all you need to make it”.

He goes on to say, “That thing woke up something in me. I realized at that moment that I had had a lot of NO's in my life. I had a lot of people say, "You can't!" and "You never will!"

I had a lot of doubters and hardly anybody ever said that I could. And through the hardest times in my life I had to learn how to encourage myself. And I want to tell you that if nobody else will encourage you then encourage yourself” ……..and just think, a few years ago Tyler Perry was homeless.
