Ladies! When is the last time you
were out with your ‘gurl’ friends? Is it time? Is it
overdue? Why don’t you checkout ‘The Ladies Night Out
Tour’ on Friday, February 1, 2008 at The Liacouras
Center in Philly. You’re probably saying, “Check who
out?”
Let’s see, whose gonna be there. Bell Biv
DeVoe, Keith Sweat, Tony! Toni! Tone! and
Guy.
HIP HOP and R&B
Bell Biv DeVoe (Ricky Bell, Michael Bivens and
Ronnie DeVoe) started singing in 1980 with New
Edition. Split from them and released their first CD in
1990 which sold over four million copies.
R&B/SOUL/PRODUCER
Keith Sweat, three decades later, still sings
those tunes like ‘Make It Last Forever’ and ‘Teach Me’
that get you all worked up. His music just makes you
scream and yell. I read about somebody who liked Keith
so much, they got a ‘KS’ tattoo. Will you be one of
those excited Keith Sweat fans, screaming and fainting
as you listen to him? Keith says, "I can only sing about
what's on my mind at the time.” Guess what? I hear he’s
working on a movie.
SOUL/FUNK
Tony! Toni! Tone! – the Wiggins Brothers,
Dwayne and Raphael along with their cousin Timothy
Christian from Oakland California have been around since
1987. There name is a play on the name of the World War
II movie Tora! Tora! Tora!. They released their first
album in 1988 and have had three more since then. Their
last album was released in 1996. I heard they were
having a reunion. Will there be another album?
